A BATTERED Skoda which was sold to a scrap dealer for just £15 has now been snapped up for thousands more after a fierce bidding battle
The red Super Estelle 105S has clocked up only 25,419 miles since it hit the road in 1981 and was sold yesterday for £3,600.

The brand used to be the butt of jokes like: “Why do you fit a rear window heater to a Skoda?” To keep your hands warm when pushing it.
Another goes: “How do you double the value of a Skoda?” Fill it with petrol.
But since then, Skoda cars have won a reputation for reliability and cheap motoring.
This model’s first owner lived in Yorkshire and kept it 17 years until they were told it needed welding to pass the MOT test.
He sold it to a local scrap yard for £15, driving it there and noting that the mileage was 25,259.
Anglia Car Auctions said: “A little while later, the scrap yard sold the car on for £75 to a Mr and Mrs Nutter, who decided to rescue and restore the Skoda.”
“Work included fitting new wings, sills and a full respray in the original colour before storing the car in a heated and carpeted garage.
“The car has led a charmed life since, and although it has had regular MOTs, just 161 miles have been covered since it was restored.”
The rear-engine car has a top speed of 80mph and was made in Czechoslovakia.
Its MOT runs out in March next year.
It was sold after five minutes of bidding in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
Modern day Skodas are very different with the brand recently showing off its new Octavia which is set to be one of the brands most technologically advanced models after the Czech outfit announced it would be fitted with ChatGPT.
The brand has also revealed its upcoming entry-level EV, set to debut soon to rival two major competitors.
