AN EXPERIENCED traveller who sleeps in the back seat of his car all year round claims there’s no trick for staying warm in the winter.

Explaining how he makes it through the year, a TikTok user named Kyle explains in a video that he simply uses his resources to ensure he makes it through the night.
At the time of the video, Kyle was staying in New York, where the average temperature throughout winter ranges from -4C to 4C.
But in the 53 second clip, which was posted in response to another user who asked what his plan was for winter, Kyle gives a very simple answer.
“Since I live in my mobile vehicle, I’m going to get in my car and drive somewhere that’s warmer,” he said.
However, he then follows that up by explaining what he really does when the weather takes a turn for the worst.
Kyle explains that he uses a 0 degree sleeping bag and some blankets, before revealing how much he enjoys layering up.
But because his living costs “stay really low”, Kyle saves enough money to take himself away to much warmer destinations throughout the year.
He said: “I saved enough to stay in Hawaii for a couple months last year and never experienced a winter at all.
“That’s kind of the whole point of doing this lifestyle – so that I can move around easily.
“I wanted to experience New York City for a longer period of time and this is how I was able to afford it.”
Kyle goes on to add that because he is always so busy doing things, he only uses his car to sleep in, rather than live out of.
By the time he gets back to his home on wheels, he is so exhausted that he falls straight to sleep.
Another person who sleeps in their car has revealed that a window hack helps to keep her warm during the winter.
Solo traveller Felicia revealed that she uses magnetic window coverings to help insulate and keep her car warm.
Elsewhere, a woman named Jacqueline, aka the RVA Hiker Girl, revealed how she keeps toasty while camping out in her SUV.
While temperatures can plummet below zero, she still manages to sleep peacefully using a nifty gadget.
