I scooped a life-changing £50,000 playing bingo – it’s second time I’ve won big and there were eerie similarities

A WOMAN scooped a life-changing £50,000 playing bingo.

The extremely lucky player, who wants to remain anonymous, has won big for the second time – and there were eerie similarities between both of her victories.

The bingo-loving pensioner attends her local hall in Sheerness, Kent, and originally won £107,000 when all of her numbers were called.

Bagging the National Bingo Game jackpot wasn’t enough for the 75-year-old as she went on to then scoop a further £50,000.

A regular at King’s Bingo, the woman revealed the two things that stayed the same both times she took home thousands.

Her first set of numbers which saw her win 24 years ago, were called by Clive Cornelius.

And this time around, she won with the same numbers – which were again called out by Clive.

She said. “Anybody who’s thinking about going to bingo, just go for it! I always enjoy playing.

“It’s not just about winning, though it’s lovely when you do. It also gets me out of the house.”

The great-gran has vowed to spend the money in the New Year.

Minnie McCoy, owner of King’s Bingo Sheerness, purchased the club in 2019 with husband Tom.

She said: “We were all very excited on the night of the win and are very happy for the lucky winner.

“It’s a great feeling when a customer gets a big win and this is my first big win at the club since taking over.”

Alastair Stewart, business development manager at the National Bingo Game, said: “We are thrilled for our lucky National Bingo Game £50,000 Jackpot winner in Sheerness and hope they enjoy their winnings.

“They can certainly splash out this Christmas and in the January sales too! What a great way to start the New Year!”
