A MOTORS expert has revealed how you can knock up to £2,000 off the cost of your car insurance at the click of a button.
Abigayle Andre, who runs SheTalksCars, took to TikTok to share the money saving tip with her followers.

In the clip, she said: “My insurance was due in September, they wanted to charge me some serious money.
“But with these tips, I managed to save nearly £2,000 so let me share them with you.”
The biggest saver, according to Abigayle, was to buy your cover well in advance of the start date.
She found that taking the policy out several weeks in advance was a whopping £1,320 cheaper than next-day cover.
The motors whizz advised that between 23 and 26 days before you want your insurance to start is the “sweet spot” where you get the biggest discount with the least waiting time.
Secondly, much to her surprise, she found that entering her driving licence number into the application saved her £200, compared to just £20 the last time she renewed.
She added: “So many people avoid doing that and it literally takes two seconds.”
The third trick she used was to be careful about which job she put down on the application.
Abigayle emphasised that you should never lie on an insurance form, indeed doing so is a form of fraud and can void your policy and lead to prosecution.
But as long as the role you choose accurately describes what you do, you may find that small tweaks can reduce your premiums.
She gave an example of doctors having some of the highest insurance costs compared to nurses having some of the lowest.
Being a little more selective in the way she described her employment ended up saving her £280.
Finally, she urged drivers to “shop around” and use comparison sites to make sure they are getting the best rate.
She recommended getting “at least three to five quotes” to make sure you’re not overpaying for a comparable policy.
This time, it only saved her £44 but “every little helps”.
Abigayle also warned against some of the things which pushed up her prices.
Protecting her no claims bonus and adding a named driver added £280 and £133 respectively.
The latter can often actually reduce rates but, in some cases, has the opposite effect.
Social media commenters loved the helpful hacks.
One wrote: “The driving license one did actually work for me.”
Another added: “Yes I took named driver off this year and it came down.”
It comes after one driver claimed that the RAC lost their £20,000 car after they broke down on the side of the road.
Meanwhile, a major sports car brand is set to discontinue a popular model to be replaced with a “hardcore” supercar.
