I received 150 Amazon packages on my doorstep by mistake – I was told I could KEEP them so I did something really great

A WOMAN who received 150 Amazon packages on her doorstep by mistake has revealed the heartwarming thing she did next.

Jillian Cannon, from New York, was left stunned after the barrage of boxes kept being delivered to her house labelled with her address in June 2021.

She initially thought the packages were supplies her business partner ordered, but as dozens continue to pile up on her doorstep, she knew something was afoot.

She told CNN: “When I first started receiving the packages, I called Amazon to try and give them back.

“But they explained to me that they were officially mine to keep since they had been delivered to my home.

“At first I was convinced that it was a scam, or maybe someone trying to clear out their warehouse

“But because all of the items were the same, I was sure that wasn’t the case here.”

Jillian said the boxes contained thousands of silicone support frames used to make face masks and assumed the order had been a clerical error.

But despite pleas with Amazon, the orders continued to arrive on palettes in huge delivery truck as a neighbour remarked that she couldn’t see her front door.

Eventually, Jillian was told by the tech giants that she would be able to get the shipments stopped — just before thousands of packages were set were arrive.

And in addition, she was even allowed to keep them.

However, with 150 boxes sat in her driveway, she was forced to get creative.

“We were just like ‘How can we get something positive out of this whole hilarious story?’” she told NBC at time.

“So, my business partner and I reached out to the children’s hospitals and we decided we want to do a decorate-your-own-face mask and include the bracket in the little kit with a blank face mask and some crayons and stickers that kids can work on while they’re in the hospital.”

To make matters better, the duo asked Amazon to donate the rest of the supplies and the company agreed.

Reports suggest her handiwork was later donated to a local children hospital.

“It’s kind of taken on this own little life of its own and it’s really cool that people want to be able to give back and do something,” she concluded.

“It’s just crazy how it all kind of happened.”

This week, we revealed the plight of another Amazon customer who got more than they bargained for.

TikToker, Olivia, received more than 40 Amazon parcels at her home -joking it must have been the work of an overeager “secret Santa.”

And her video, which racked up nearly 4,000 comments and 4.4 million views, had users wowed as she revealed what was inside.
