I make extra £30k from my side hustle & the money’s only going up – it’ll soon be more than colleagues’ yearly salaries

A FINANCE product manager has told how he made an extra £30,000 last year from his side hustle – and the money is only going up.

Matt Brighton, 30, a senior product manager in financial services, rakes in thousands each month as an influencer.

In his full-time job he already takes home a “higher than UK average” salary but earns even more cash on the side online.

He posts videos on YouTube, where he hands out property investment tips.

Last year he trousered £30,000 – but had already earned that much again in the first quarter of this year.

He still won’t reveal what he earns at his corporate job at Remote – because he fears his colleagues could get jealous.

But Matt says he has no problem bragging about his side hustle income.

He told the BBC: “Let’s say I share my side income this year and it’s more than someone at Remote makes on their full-time salary.

“I’d still feel fine because it’s my outside business that has nothing to do with the workplace.

“They can only look at it with inspiration because that’s not something they can control.”

It comes after another woman revealed how she made £30k with an easy side hustle without leaving her house.

TikToker Anya raked in the cash by selling digital products on Etsy.

The savvy woman spotted it was a trend during lockdown while she was at college and decided to jump in on the side hustle.

Anya revealed she spent a month researching how to do it, using a website called Verank to find keywords and trends that she could use when selling to boost her business.

From there, she decided to make digital mental health diaries and planners to sell online.
