A FOODIE has told how she makes her own McDonald’s McMuffin using a common household item.

Savvy mum Laura Udall says she can whip up the fast food breakfast favourite for half the price.

Laura explained: “The premise is pretty simple – pop your muffin on the bottom, add pre-cooked fillings of your choice and then smash an egg in the second layer and let it sizzle away on the hot plate. 

“When your egg is ready, simply swizzle the rotating bottom plate and voila, your breakfast muffin is built and ready to demolish.”

McDonald’s charge £3.59 for a single muffin – but she made four breakfast muffins for £1.62 a piece.
