The car, a 2013 Ford Ka, was in good condition with just 70k miles on the clock, although it was making a loud noise.

And there was six months of MOT left, which was a bonus, and the owner wanted to free space up on her drive.

The final agreed price was £1,300, and the buyer quickly had a mechanic friend sort the necessary fixes for around £100.

Then the paintwork was in good nick and didn’t need touching, but a bit of elbow grease cleaning the interior, and it was ready to sell.

Originally posted for sale at £3,450, the seller accepted an offer of £3,000 as the new buyer turned up the same day to complete an easy deal.

Expenses were: £1,300 for the car, £73 for the exhaust, and £30 for labour, with road tax, insurance and fuel amounting to £62.

That’s a grand total of £1,464 against a sale price of £3,000 which gives the TikTok flipper more than £1,500 profit – not a bad day’s work.

But not everybody was convinced by the hack in the comments below the video.

One said: “Who the hell paid three grand for that.”

Another commented: “3k for this? Bro, where do you get your buyers from?”

Others were more positive, with one saying: “Nice flip .. keep up the good work.” While some were interested in taking up the flipping challenge, saying: “Need more of these videos, bro? I want to learn.”
