A WOMAN who lives in her car has revealed a £15 B&M “life-saver” everyone swears by doesn’t keep you warm.
Content creator Madison Clysdale took to TikTok to recommend a better product – and it only costs £30.
The content creator posted a TikTok to share the money-saving gadget
As the cost of living looms upon us, many Brits are on the lookout for cheaper ways to stay warm and save up on bills.
Luckily, a money-saver shared an affordable heated blanket that can keep you cosy throughout the night.
The influencer, who lives inside her car, said the item is much better than an electric heater – as it doesn’t drain the batteries.
On the video she said: “The nights are still cold here in Canada and I recently upgraded my power station.
“To stay warm camping I tried using a portable power station, and even with 1200 Watts, the battery would have drained in one hour.
“The most basic electric heater on high, which was too much for the battery station so I kept it on low.”
An electric heater from B&M can cost you only £15., but the Tiktoker claims the cheap buy doesn’t work properly.
She added: “Even still, it would have died in just over an hour. Plus objects can burn if they are within 2ft.
“For this reason, I’d recommend a heated blanket instead.”
Madison said the gadget is “more efficient” than a regular plug one.
“Mine can last through the night and more than eight hours. The next day I plug my power station into my car’s cigarette outlet and charge it as I drive to the next spot,” she added.
Footage shows the woman laying down with her dog under the warm blanket.
The influencer said: “I just curl up with my dog. We usually shiver together, but this is a great idea.
“My dog appreciated it. Since he won’t stay under a sleeping bag.”
You can buy a Double Silentnight Winter Warmer Electric Blanket for £30 from B&M – or a single one for £25.
The video has already gained thousands of views and more than 50,000 likes from fellow savvy users.
Dozens of bargain hunters flocked to the comments section to review the product.
One user said: “So smart. I’m going to get one. My dog gets really cold and sleeps on my head usually.”
But others advised the woman to not overuse the product as it is “easy flammable”.
One said: “Do you actually plan on sleeping with an the electric blanket? Because they are dangerous to sleep with, they are easily flammable.”
It comes as shoppers were racing to get their hands on a winter essential perfect for keeping energy bills down – it costs just 1p an hour to run.
