I live in ‘coldest county in the WORLD’ but my windscreen is never icy for long thanks to £1 gadget

A MAN who lives in one of the coldest countries in the world has shared his golden tip for getting your car started on an icy morning.

Motors in Canada, where temperatures can drop to -40C, are hard to get started during the winter months.

As he moved the scraper in circles, the ice came away in seconds

And he was left with an unobstructed windscreen safe for driving

But one car whizz posted a useful video to share his hack with other drivers – and it involves a gadget you can pick up for just £1.

The nifty tool is cone-shaped, with one end wider than the other and plastic spikes across the head.

After warming up his car for 10-15 minutes, he moves it in circles across his frosty windscreen and the ice comes right off.

In just seconds the pane is free of snow and ice, leaving him free to drive with an unobstructed view.

He tells drivers in the video that his set him back about £8, but a pack of four on Amazon goes for around £5 – meaning you’re looking at a pound a pop.

One enthusiastic driver chimed in under his helpful TikTok tutorial: “I have 2 and love them!”.

While someone else living in New York, where temperatures can also drop steeply at this time of year, said they were “definitely ordering one”.

But a motorist not convinced by the need to buy a gadget specifically for this wrote: “Use a funnel”.

It’s not the only cheap and nifty gadget you can use to get you safely on the road.

One £2 kids’ arts and craft device could even help fix the dents in your car in seconds.

And another handy trick can stop any annoying rattling noises in your car for just £4.

Even better, the product is an everyday item you will most likely already have at home.
