I hate my EV… here are the five WORST functions – from annoying buttons to the extreme price

AN electric car driver has listed the five worst things about their vehicle, including annoying buttons and the hefty price tag.

A car review site on TikTok called TFL Studios which has 1.2million followers took Volkwagen’s all-electric vehicle to task in a short video.

Coming in fifth place were the window switches, according to the reviewer.

The commentary says: “Did Volkswagen run out of window switches? Because there are only two switches for four windows.

“You gotta touch this [pressing another button] to toggle between the front and the rear.”

In fourth, the reviewer said, was there was no “frunk” – boot space at the front of the car.

The reviewer said: “Unlike a Tesla, which has a useful space at the front. Here, all you get is, well, a fan and an electric motor.”

Thirdly, was the cost.

The car is said to cost  £35,954 ($43,995) which the reviewer said “isn’t cheap” even if it was a first edition.

They said: “It’s a Volkswagen, or a people’s wagon but even with a federal tax credit, it’s still expensive.”

Taking second place were the “hefty controls” for pretty much everything which were criticised as being “fussy” and “unintuitive”.

Coming top of their pet hates about the car though was that while it was an all-electric car, the reviewer urged VW to try something different, such as a convertible, rather than just a “cross-over”.

The footage has proved to be popular with viewers, notching up almost 1,900 likes as well as more than a dozen comments.

One commentator simply wrote: “I agree.”

Another added: “The only reason they’re making crossovers is people are mostly wanting/buying cross overs. Which I don’t understand but okay.”

Others came to defend the car, with one person writing: “I love it big time for sure.”

Elsewhere, a motoring pro test drove the worst EV ever and it was so bad it blew him away.

Another motoring expert has explained why they think electric cars are a disaster.

A man was left stranded while testing out the nation’s favourite EV after it died on him in the middle of the road.

This is the terrifying moment a plush £200,000 Porsche EV burst into flames in the middle of a busy street.
