I found rare £480k Ford Mustang abandoned in dusty garage ‘for 50 YEARS’ and that’s not all… it was a treasure trove

TWO explorers have discovered a rare £480,000 Ford Mustang among a treasure trove of American muscle cars abandoned in a dusty garage.

The grime-ridden motor could have been sitting in the garage for up to 50 years, alongside classic cars from manufacturers such as Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge and Pontiac.

A fully restored version of the Boss 429 Mustang sold in the US for more than $600,000TikTok/@realcar62

In footage taken by the pair a “for sale” sign has been left on the floor next to one car, showing that it’s a 1969 Boss 429 Ford Mustang with just 35,000 miles on the clock.

The low mileage suggests it could have spent decades abandoned in the warehouse.

The sign revealed the Mustang was in completely original condition.

A similar reconditioned model sold for more than £500,000 ($600,000) in the US in 2007.

It’s not known exactly where the barn is, but it’s believed to be somewhere in the US.

Earlier in the clip, a man dressed in a blue boiler suit walked through the garage before stopping at a red Plymouth GTX that was caked in a thick layer of dust.

The duo identified a yellow car as a Fastback, which meant it had a single slope from the roof to the tail.

But they got really excited when they discovered a grubby red model.

A voice from behind the camera said: “Wooah, a Challenger.”

And there was a Pontiac GTO in the corner, which has a value of up to £140,000.

Those commenting on the post were left stunned.

One user said: “That’s a gold mine right there. Problem is I wouldn’t sell any of them, I’d want to fix them up and drive them.

While another added: “The guy’s secret car collection that he never told his wife about.

Another said: “Possibly all of them together cleaned up could reach a mill for sure.”
