A DIY dad made a top toy for his family for just £150 — by combining a mobility scooter with a Garfield fairground ride.
It is the latest creation by dad-of-eight Darren Seatory, 53, who has also built mini-VW campers and a London bus.

He combined part of a former Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach ride he got on eBay for £100 and the £50 scooter.
And he said the process involves “a lot of welding”.
Darren, of Wrentham, Suffolk, said his grandson Leighton, eight, and daughter Tallulah, two, love their new plaything.
He added: “The plastic rides in toy shops don’t last five minutes whereas mine last forever.
“All you need is a toolbox and a rough idea of how it is going to work.
“My grandson Leighton, who is eight, comes round every day so he can go on it too and he loves it as well.
“When we go out people always want to take photos.”
He also insists his Garfield gadget is “safer than a bike”, adding: “It goes from 1mph to 4mph.
“I set it very slow.”
