‘I can’t do it anymore’: Rocker Ozzy Osbourne reveals his next spinal surgery will be his last after suffering a fall

Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he’s preparing to undergo spinal surgery for a final time.

The British musician, 74, is due to have an operation on his neck this week which will be his fourth, after he suffered a fall in 2019 that aggravated damage to his neck and back that he sustained in a quad biking accident back in 2003.

Speaking on his family’s revamped podcast The Osbournes, he admitted he ‘can’t do it anymore‘ and also had a pointed message for critics.

“Tomorrow I have my final surgery on my neck,” Osbourne explained.

“Which it is gonna be the final surgery, because I can’t do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t.”

He added: “It’s alright. It’s just like going over for a f–king haircut now. But I have improved somewhat, I think.”

Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, admitted that his feet hurt while walking this week, but said he isn’t ‘on his last legs’.

“My feet feel like I’ve got bricks tied to them when I’m walking. Maybe I just need to get up off my a– and walk around the block a few times.”

But he added to critics: “I’m far from being on my last legs! Like f–k off.”

Just eight months ago, Osbourne announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows, and said his touring career is over because he “is not physically capable”.

He said he can no longer cope with the travel required for a tour.

“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans,” he said in the statement released on social media.

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage.

“My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.”

He expressed his shock and sadness to call it a day, saying: “Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way.”

Last year, he told The Sun that doctors told him after his first surgery that he could have become ‘paralysed for life’.

“I was told, ‘You’ve got a good chance of being paralysed for the rest of your life’. You just don’t expect the surgeon to be a f–king butcher. I was left in agony.”

During his career – which began as a member of groundbreaking heavy metal band Black Sabbath – Osbourne won Grammy Awards for both his solo work and as part of the band, which he left in 1978.
