The 2005 Toyota Corolla was listed at £970, but the poster managed to haggle it down and only paid £820.

The Gumtree advert stated that the car had 105,000 miles on the clock and a fresh twelve-month MOT.

The man explained: “I bought this Toyota Corolla from Gumtree to flip.

“It was only up for £970. When I got there, the owner only wanted cash.

“So we settled for £820 – the car was mechanically sound with 105k on the clock.

“Part service history and fresh 12 months MOT, the body needed some TLC as there was rust on the wheel arch and a dent on the door.

The man explained how he repaired the car to sell it for more money.

“I didn’t bother repairing the dent. I polished the rest of the car which gave it a lovely glow the next day.

“I gave the inside and the boot a deep clean.”

After cleaning the car and making some repairs, he offered the Toyota on Facebook for £1,900, which sold within four hours.

And he managed to make a profit of £817 in a few days.

The man only spent £12 for the insurance, £20 on the road tax, £30 for repairs, and he paid himself £100.

The video was uploaded by @killingit007 on TikTok – and had 349,000 views and hundreds of comments.

People were quick to comment.
