AN EV owner who bought a £80,000 electric car has revealed what went wrong and his biggest regret.

The car dealer, who owns a 2022 Audi E-Tron GT, said he struggled to find enough charging stations.

TikTok user @Flyingwheels took to social media to explain the issues he faced when driving the expensive vehicle.

The man claimed he initially bought the car per “accident” before realising all the complications that came with it.

On the clip, the car expert said: “I accidentally bought this Audi E-Tron GT.”

As the content creator explained the downsides of owning the EV and claimed he struggled to find enough charging station in his area.

The frustrated car enthusiast said: “There’s only three charging stations that I know about in the higher entire state.

“Another problem I’ve come into is that I don’t have a charger at home. I can’t charge this thing.”

The driver revealed it cost him $17 dollars just to fill half tank of gas.

He then revealed how easy it is leave the high speed 350kw EV open and unattended.

“I found my first problem. I’m back at my shop, I’m at work. I’ve been inside for like ten minutes and I just realised that I never shut the car off,” he said.

But the car owner claimed he’s still happy with his purchase.

He proceeded to show the interior of the car praising the new features and finishes.

Boasting carbon fibre strip on the dashboard and the climate controls on the centre stack.

He explained: “What is cool about this car is the sound. It has a dynamic sound and the lightning ports in the centre.

“The doors are electronic so there are door handles but they’re not actually manual handles.

“So far, I am loving this car. One of the cool thins is that with my naturally aspirated and my turbo supercharged V 8 engines.”

The video has already gained more than 400 likes and thousands of views on social media.

People were quick to comment their opinions with some even offering advise on how to charge the vehicle.

User Carlos said: “Put a charger at home. The whole think is less than $500. I go moths without stopping at a gas station.”

But some disappointed users slammed the tiktoker for wasting his money on an electric car.

User Bill said: “Why in God’s name would anyone buy an electric car? You’re not saving the planet in any way.”
