Humble Celtic star joins fans for kickabout in Glasgow park – then THANKS them for letting him join in

CELTIC FANS are thankful Kyogo Furuhashi came to play his football to Glasgow.

And the Hoops favourite returned the compliment when he thanked a young fan for letting HIM join in a west-end kickabout.

Furuhashi turned provider and laid on several strikes for the youngster

The Japanese international was taking a walk around the dear green place for a special documentary on his move from his country’s J-League to the SPFL champions.

And taking in the sights and sounds of the football-mad city it was only a matter of time before he stumbled across a fan – and an impromptu game of football.

Kyogo, 28, stopped off in Kelvingrove Park to join in with the awe-struck youngster in the heart-warming clip after retrieving the ball from a wayward strike at goal.

Those are in short supply when it comes to the Hoops forward who has already notched 20 to lead the SPFL Premiership in strikes this season.

However the scorer turned provider as he teed up the young supporter for some shooting practise on his stroll across the red blaes pitch near Kelvingrove Street.

He then made the wide-eyed youngster’s day as he shook hands and thanked him for the kickabout.

It’s not unusual nor the first time one of the Hoops’ Japanese contingent has been spotted out and about having fun in the city either.

Daizen Maeda was spotted on a trip to Soar in Braehead earlier this year enjoying some BATTLE BEAM fun at Gravity Trampoline Park.

”I think I am not good enough yet..”

Interaction with people in the city heals the heartbreak of not being selected for the national team.

“Everyone can connect with just one ball..
Football is great.”

With a variety of activities available, people can use their huge open trampoline area, which includes a dodgeball court, air bags and slam dunk zones.

And Maeda certainly looked like he was enjoying himself as snaps circulating around social media showed him and another person in a light-hearted joust at the popular venue.

Some believed it was a spot of team bonding with Reo Hatate while others suggested an initiation for new-boy Tomoki Iwata.

Kyogo’s documentary chronicles his move to Scotland from Vissel Kobe and includes match footage from his games at Parkhead as well as an insight into his life and home comforts at his luxurious flat and trips around town.
