Hugo Lloris slams Tottenham fans for BOOING Davinson Sanchez as he’s hauled off just 22 minutes after being subbed

HUGO LLORIS slammed Tottenham fans who booed Davinson Sanchez today.

That’s after the defender was subbed off following just 22 minutes of action in today’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

Spurs were hoping to close the gap on Manchester United and Newcastle as they hosted relegation battlers Bournemouth in north London.

Cristian Stellini’s men got off to a flyer after just 14 minutes through Son Heung-Min.

And Sanchez, 26, soon joined the fray as a sub for injured Clement Lenglet.

The Colombian has done little to appease fans with some shaky performances this season, including a disastrous “thin air” tackle during last month’s FA Cup defeat at Sheffield United.

And Sanchez was immediately caught out again as he lost possession after just two minutes.

The centre-back failed to control the ball before Mathias Vina equalised for the visitors in the 38th minute.

Later on, Sanchez lost possession again as Dominic Solanke raced past him in the 51st minute.

And the Cherries striker compounded Sanchez’s error by firing home for 2-1.

Spurs fans could not believe their eyes.

And neither could Stellini for that matter, with the interim boss quickly hooking Sanchez for attacker Arnaut Danjuma.

It meant he had just a 22-minute runout on the pitch.

And Sanchez was loudly jeered by fans as he made way.

But captain Lloris was far from amused at full-time as he hit out at Spurs’ boo boys.

He said: “I feel really bad for him. I’ve never seen this in my career.

It’s something you don’t want to see in football

“It started when he came on the pitch. He’s a teammate, a friend, and he’s been fighting for Spurs for many many years now.

“The story is sad for the club, fans and the player. It’s something you don’t want to see in football.”

Sanchez’s unfortunate exit looked to have paid off when Danjuma levelled for 2-2 in the 88th minute.

But Tottenham continued to write the same old script as Dango Ouattara scored a late winner for Bournemouth in the 95th minute.

One man who was not impressed with fans booing Sanchez was former Spurs star Michael Dawson.

He said: “I don’t like when your own fans boo you. It’s awful for Sanchez, his confidence looks shot.

“He’ll be hurting, it’s not nice to see. It will be a horrible day for him today.”

Sanchez has been at Spurs since 2017 after a £42million move from Ajax.

He has played 201 games for the capital club, but has fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons.
