The 3,000sqm centre will have 12 themed zones, with more than 2million bricks across the attraction.

This includes the Imagination Express, with a train ride through an XXL Lego World, as well as a Duplo area for younger kids.

A MiniWorld will have Lego landmarks of Hamburg, as well as a workshop and 4D cinema.

Julia Goldin, Lego’s Chief Product and Marketing Officer, said: “In this interactive LEGO indoor adventure world, families will find a place to play, discover, create and have fun together.

“Together with Merlin Entertainments and their expertise in location-based family entertainment, we want to inspire curiosity, creativity and imagination in the builders of tomorrow.”

While it’s in construction, kids will be able to join the Creative Crew to test some of the zones out before the public, as well as get a secret look behind the scenes.

And they’ll even get free entry for a year.

Miriam Wolframm, General Manager of LEGO Discovery Center Hamburg, said: “Here, the focus is on the children, which is why we also give great importance to their ideas when building the attraction.

“In return for this valuable support, our ‘Creative Crew’ will receive free admission for a year, in addition to many other highlights.”

An official opening date is yet to be revealed, nor have ticket prices.

However, the Lego attraction is expected to open around spring 2024.

To get there, flights are around 1hr30 and start from £15.95 with Ryanair.

Hafencity is also where many cruise ships stop as well.

If you can’t wait until then, there is a Legoland Discovery Centre in the UK too.

The Birmingham attraction has rides including Kingdom Quest, a 4D cinema, and a virtual reality experience.

We spoke to a Legoland Discovery Centre worker – and she revealed the best times to visit to avoid the crowds.

And a new attraction is opening at Legoland Windsor next month.

The theme park confirmed that the new Lego Adventure Golf attraction will open on October 7.
