According to German outlet Bild’s Christian Falk, Mourinho has his eyes on the job at Bayern Munich.

The 61-year-old is said to be keen on the job and has even taken steps to prepare himself should the role become available.

Mourinho has reportedly been learning German, hinting that he would like to take charge of the Bavarians.

And It has also been claimed that the two-time Champions League winner has “flirted” with taking charge in Munich before.

Current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is under mounting pressure as his side fell five points behind league leader Bayer Leverkusen this week.

The German giants lost 3-0 to their title rivals and now face an uphill battle to pick up a 33rd Bundesliga title.

Meanwhile Mourinho has also hinted at a possible job in the United States with Inter Miami as he claimed it would be an “honour” to manage Lionel Messi.

In an interview with football influencer Ohm on YouTube, he said: “An example is Messi, he doesn’t need to be coached. Who can say ‘I was Messi’s coach.’

“It seems absurd to me, because he knows everything and was born with everything. Maybe he can teach you things.

“It would only be to say that I had the honour of having him in the team. Then there are a lot of players.”
