How to hide your WhatsApp online status on an iPhone?
Ensure you’re using the latest version of WhatsApp first.
Then follow the instructions below.
Open WhatsApp on your iPhone.Tap on Settings.Go to Privacy.Hit Last Seen & Online at the top.You’ll find an option titled ‘Who can see when I’m online’.
You can choose between Everyone or Same as Last Seen.
If you want to hide when you’re online, you’ll have to have the Last Seen set to nobody, and the second option as Same as Last Seen.
How to hide your WhatsApp online status on an Android?
The steps to disable the last seen status on Android are pretty much the same as iPhone and the same rules apply.
Lets take a look:
Open WhatsApp on your Android.Tap on Settings.Go to Privacy.Hit Last Seen & Online at the top.You’ll find an option titled ‘Who can see when I’m online’.
Why was the WhatsApp online status settings changed?
Back in August 2022, WhatsApp changed the function to enable users to hide their online status whenever they liked.
