How Real Madrid could line up next season with unstoppable new set of Galacticos as they plot transfer spree

BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly bracing themselves for a fight to keep hold of Alphonso Davies as Real Madrid plot a swoop.

The Canadian star, 22, is only under contract with the Bundesliga champions until June 2025.

Talks have started on an extension, but now speculation is mounting that those discussions have stalled.

And now Bild state that Real Madrid are eyeing a £35million transfer bid for the wing-back at the end of the season.

The German publication states that it is “no longer a secret” that Madrid want him when he enters the final 12 months of his deal.

Davies left Vancouver Whitecaps in his homeland for Bayern back in 2019.

Since then he has gone on to become one of the most sought after talents in Europe helping Bayern to five domestic titles and the 2020 Champions League.

And with Jude Bellingham taking LaLiga by storm since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund, Bild also says that Real are looking to add Davies as another part of the jigsaw in putting together a “super team” to make them kings of Europe.

Los Blancos have held a long-term interest in Kylian Mbappe and appear to be firmly in the driving seat to get the French forward when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires in June.

And they have also been linked over recent months with Newcastle’s Brazilian Bruno Guimaraes.

The midfielder recently agreed a new deal with the Magpies until 2028 – but that is believed to include a £100m release clause.

And that potentially sets up the tantalising prospect of Davies, Guimaraes and Mbappe all joining the ranks at the Bernabeu next season.

Davies’ agent, Nick Huoseh, recently discussed the rumours of a transfer to Real Madrid – and he did little to squash the speculation.

He said: “Real is a big club, I’m a big fan. Real is a big name. When you hear rumours about your protege, it makes you proud.

“We still have two years of contract with Bayern. We will wait and see how everything develops in the coming weeks.”
