AN expert mechanic has revealed how an amazing 37p Coca-Cola hack can fix your car’s ‘black death’.
Phil Davison took to his YouTube channel to explain how the fizzy drink can actually help solve a serious issue with your engine.

Phil showed how cola can be used to clean carbon deposits from around the fuel injectors which, if left untreated, can cause severe damage.
He said: “There’s a lot of people swear that it works.
“They douse the injector in Coca-Cola and it frees them off every time apparently.
“I’ve freed off coilovers with it before, that worked well.”
Phil then filmed himself pouring some Coke from a can onto the seized-up injectors.
When he applied it, they were still covered in solid carbon, also known as ‘black death‘.
The carbon is a byproduct of the combustion within the engine and is usually released through the exhaust system in the form of carbon dioxide.
However, if parts are not sealed into the engine, this can escape into the engine bay and cool, forming solid carbon deposits on the engine itself.
If enough builds up, it can prevent the engine from functioning properly and is very difficult to remove.
However, within minutes of Phil pouring a small amount of cola onto the injectors, they were already moving much more freely.
He eventually managed to get them out and replace them, this time including a copper washer at the bottom to seal them in properly.
This, Phil said, usually costs around £5 but is essential to avoid issues like carbon build-up.
Coke, though, is freely available and can be found for as little as £4.50 for a 12-pack, working out at 37p per can.
Social media commenters were amazed by the handy trick.
One wrote: “Great video Phil.”
Another added: “Always learn something on your vids mate. Coke, who’d have thought it?”
It comes after EV drivers were warned that they are being ripped off by a hidden cost losing them thousands every year.
Meanwhile, another mechanic revealed how a £7 Teso top-up could bring a faulty heater back to life.
