TEMPLEGATE tackles a huge Saturday of racing confident of finding you a few winners.

BROADWAY BOY (2.25 Cheltenham, nap)
He has had just three runs over fences and already looks a hot prospect. He kicked off with an easy win at Worcester for Nigel Twiston-Davies before he chased home Flooring Porter. He improved on that when taking a Listed prize here by 20 lengths, jumping like a real natural. He drops back to handicap level here off a nice weight with more to come over this slightly longer trip.
THUNDER ROCK (1.50 Cheltenham, nb)
Was far from disgraced in Grade 1 company last season, including in the Brown Advisory at the Festival. He was then a good second at Ayr before returning with an impressive success over this trip at Carlisle last month. He can still make the odd error but he has a big engine and he can strike from just 4lb higher than his last winning mark.
THEATRE GLORY (3.35 Cheltenham, treble)
She has her sights lowered here by Nicky Henderson and she has enough class to win under a big weight over an ideal trip. She looked short of a run when third in an Ascot Grade 2 on comeback and she won a Listed contest at Warwick earlier this year.

Templegate’s TV verdicts
CHELTENHAM
12.05
KOUROSH created a big impression when winning on debut at Wetherby last month. The ex-German Flat import cantered around under Dan Skelton to score by a distance.
He takes on hotter opposition here but there should be a lot more to come.
An Bradan Feasa won on hurdles debut in Ireland for Joseph O’Brien and ran a promising race in a Grade 2 here last time for his new connections.
He was no match for potential star Burdett Road but had some useful horses behind him. He can build on that run and looks a big threat.
Eagle Prince was a solid fourth in that race on the back of a first hurdles win at Sedgefield.
He is another with scope for improvement but will may struggle to reverse that form.
Paul Nicholls loves a French import and runs Kabral Du Mathan who scored across the Channel in July.
It’s hard to assess that form but the market will be a good guide.
12.40
WEVEALLBEENCAUGHT has gone well on both chase runs around here including when chasing home top prospect Broadway Boy here last month.
He was no match for his stablemate but jumped well as he did when third on his first spin over fences here.
He held his own in Grade 1 company as a hurdler and his opening handicap mark of 135 looks lenient.
Wiseguy was a game winner on his chase debut at Exeter 26 days ago. The handicapper has been fair with a 6lb rise in the weights and Nicky Henderson’s hope has lots of staying power.
Mofasa had a bit up his sleeve when scoring at Huntingdon and was a hurdles winner here.
Some Scope stayed well at Wetherby and has place claims.
1.15
IN EXCELSIS DEO caught the eye when finishing well into third on his seasonal comeback here at the October meeting.
He was a mile back before charging up the hill and closed with every stride.
The second that day then franked the form by beating today’s main danger Calico last month so the race looks decent.
You would expect Harry Fry’s hope to improve for that first run in seven months.
Calico ran well a couple of times behind Jonbon and was just nabbed on the line here last time when going from the front.
The ground will be a bit more testing today but he’s handled that before.
Aucunrisque has been below his best on both starts this season and has a bit to prove after a flat effort when fifth at Ascot last time.
Prince Escalus chased home Calico here last time and is 5lb better off with him today.
It’s not certain that will be enough to turn the form around.
Funambule Sivola has yet to hit top gear and may struggle to give weight away all round.

THUNDER ROCK was far from disgraced in Grade 1 company last season, including in the Brown Advisory at the Festival.
He was then a good second at Ayr before returning with an impressive success over this trip at Carlisle last month.
He can still make the odd error but he has a big engine and he can strike from just 4lb higher than his last winning mark.
The bookies are likely to run scared from So Scottish who appears to have been laid out for this by shrewd Emmet Mullins.
He sports the green and gold of legendary punter JP McManus and was a solid seventh in the Plate at the Festival.
He had a quiet comeback at Gowran last time and should be spot-on for fitness after that.
Frero Banbou just about stays this trip and has gone well at Aintree and Newbury where a final-fence mistake cost him the race.
He has every chance of hitting the frame again. Harry Cobden has chosen to ride Monmiral of the Paul Nicholls pair.
He has run well here before and has few miles on the clock over fences so can’t be ignored.
Stablemate Il Ridoto was third in the Paddy Power Gold Cup last time but prefers this New course so is another to consider.
Fakir D’Oudairies was last seen running close in an Aintree Grade 1 and was second in the 2021 Ryanair Chase here.
He has miles on the clock but this is a fair drop in class.
2.25
BROADWAY BOY has had just three runs over fences and already looks a hot prospect.
Threeunderthrufive came right back to his best with a close-up second at Wincanton last month.
He stays well and won’t mind some cut in the ground. A repeat of his last run would see him right in the mix.
Protektorat was disappointing in the Betfair Chase at Haydock last time.
There was no obvious reason for the poor run but it’s too early to write him off.
City Chief would prefer an even greater test of stamina after a good fourth on return here last month.
The Nicky Henderson hope is likely to be fitter for that outing and has had a little nudge down the weights.
Malina Girl had 10 lengths in hand when winning here but has an 11lb rise in the weights to contend with today.
3.00
CADELL looks a certain improver over this longer distance.
He tried to come from too far back at Kelso latest and was running on at the finsh. He’ll appreciate this test.
Shanagh Bob didn’t have a lot to beat on debut at Plumpton but did it really well and should take a major step forward.
Illico De Cotte went down in a head-bobber at Lingfield and is certain to progress from that.
He’s another who should enjoy this stiffer test.
Destroytheevidence keeps winning at lower levels and was impressive at Kempton. This is tougher though.
Yes Day is a proper stayer who shaped well at Warwick latest. He has more to come and will enjoy soft ground.
3.35
THEATRE GLORY has her sights lowered here by Nicky Henderson and she has enough class to win under a big weight over an ideal trip.
She looked short of a run when third in an Ascot Grade 2 on comeback and she won a Listed contest at Warwick earlier this year.
Bonttay was good when scoring at Hereford latest and has winning form here too. A 5lb rise in the weights looks fair.
Coquelicot returned to hurdling with a good win at Kempton and she won’t lack staying power. Windtothelightning is another with more to come.
DONCASTER
2.05
VINTAGE FIZZ was beaten just a neck in a hot race at Ayr last time and can go one better.
He enjoyed dropping back to 2m4f and this trip on decent ground should be right up his street.
He is only 4lb higher than his last win which gives him a big chance.
Cruz Control got the job done at Newcastle when battling up the straight.
Trainer Tom Lacey is in good form and this six-year-old looks the main danger.
Deeper Blue went close at Plumpton latest on just his second spin over fences. He wouldn’t have to improve much to figure.
Mister Who took to fences well at Lingfield latest and is another to consider in a wide-open contest.
2.40
GIN COCO clocked a big personal best when beating a former County Hurdle winner at Ascot last time.
He didn’t get the best of runs before clearing right away after the second-last. That was impressive and a 4lb rise in the weights seems more than fair.
Tommy’s Oscar is interesting back over hurdles where he has a Grade 2 win on his CV.
He won this race two years ago from just 5lb lower so has to be taken seriously.
Nayati has come down the weights and looked in need of the run at Huntingdon last time. Decent ground suits him best.
Clear White Light goes up in grade after scoring over this course and distance last time.
A 6lb rise means he’ll need to pull out a bit more.
Soaring Glory was second in that race and will also have to improve.
3.15
TWOSHOTSOFTEQUILA scored the last time he ran on Town Moor in March and has been knocking on the door this season.
He’s been beaten by a total of a length in two starts at Carlisle and Catterick and champion jockey Brian Hughes takes over.
He can galvanise this six-year-old who looks on a fair mark.
Mister Coffey will surely win over fences one day and this could be it.
He needed his comeback run at Cheltenham and has been placed in much stronger races than this. He’s down the weights and will be in the frame at least.
Forward Plan went well for a long way in the Badger Beers before the lack of a recent run told. He’ll be fitter here.
Whistleinthedark hoovered up novice contests last season and will find this easier than the Paddy Power Gold Cup last time.
