LETTHEDUSTSETTLE (3.20 Exeter, nap)

Tom Lacey’s six-year-old has scored a couple of times at Catterick this season and looked due another victory when third at Plumpton last time out. He gets on well with today’s 7lb claiming rider and this drop in trip will help as his latest wins were around two miles.

BAMPTON STAR (4.20 Exeter, nb)

He needed every yard of this distance to get up on the line here 17 days ago. That was an impressive chase debut effort and he should have learned plenty for the run. Trainer Jeremy Scott is in fine form and a 6lb rise looks more than fair.

CATHERINE CHROI (8.30 Newcastle, treble)

Can strike under a penalty after an easy Southwell success just four days ago. She is best over this trip and was a neck second on her last run here.

MARTIN’S BRIG (7.00 Newcastle, Lucky 15)

He landed a smooth success over course and distance 13 days ago. This race is no tougher and a 2lb rise looks lenient.
