Horse racing tips: Templegate’s NAP drops in class and has an excellent chance at a fair price

TEMPLEGATE tackles a interesting Tuesday of racing confident of slamming home a few winners.

Back a horse at the best price below by clicking their odds.

TARA ITI (Lingfield 2.55, nap).

Gary Moore’s hope has decent form around this trip as he showed when scoring at Fontwell in June.

He still looked a bit rusty when fourth at Plumpton last time and this drop in class looks a wise move by the Sunracing columnist.

He gets on well with today’s pilot Rob Hargreaves — who takes off a handy 10lb — and today’s ground holds no fears.

The handicapper has left his mark alone and, while he has his quirks, this looks an excellent chance at a fair price.

BALDOMERO (6.30 Chelmsford, nb)

Can go one better than his short-head second at Kempton last time.

Michael Appleby’s flyer was chinned right on the line after leading into the straight.

This race looks a fair bit softer and he can land a deserved success after a string of places.

ILLICO DE COTTE (12.00 Lingfield)

He cost a hefty £100,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point by 12 lengths and he’ll be ready for this British debut.

The yard has won this race before and are past masters at getting a newcomer fit to fire.

SAO CARLOS (1.10 Lingfield)

He scored on his bumper debut at Market Rasen from the front and should make a nice hurdler for Olly Murphy.

He runs in the famous John Hales colours of One Man and Azertyuiop fame and he doesn’t buy many duds.

GEORGI GIRL (2.30 Fakenham)

She showed plenty of promise earlier this year when winning on debut at Ludlow before hitting the frame at Ffos Las and Taunton.

This four-year-old came back from eight months off with an eyecatching third at Hereford.

That was her handicap debut and she hit the front two out only for the lack of a recent run to tell in the closing stages.

The assessor has been generous and left her mark alone despite that encouraging run and she should be fitter for that experience.

UP FOR APPEAL (3.05 Fakenham)

Has shown plenty of promise since being sent over fences by trainer Christian Williams.

He has been third on both starts and this looks a much softer contest than the one he tackled at Hereford 15 days ago.

His rider takes off a handy 7lb and a repeat of what we’ve already seen should be good enough to get off the mark.

TEDWIN HILLS (1.30 Hereford)

Trainer Emma Lavelle continues to send out plenty of winners and this six-year-old had an impressive ten lengths in hand when scoring at Huntingdon last time.

Decent ground brings out the best in him so he should like these conditions and has more to offer.
