Lost out in the stewards’ room on return at Southwell and arrived a short-head too late at Newcastle ten days later. He reared when the stalls opened back at Southwell last time and did remarkably well to finish a close third. Down in grade, at a track that should suit, he can gain deserved compensation.
DUBAI HONOUR (2.55 Kempton, nb)
William Haggas’s two-time Aussie Group 1 winner should have too much class for this field. He goes well fresh and ran well at Kempton on his sole all-weather start back in 2022. Receiving weight from his main rival Lion’s Pride, who he’s rated 11lb superior to, all signs point to a winning run.
MIGUEL (4.03 Wolverhampton, treble)
Caught the eye on return over 7f here, outpaced at the top of the straight before keeping on again in the late stages. His sole run at the mile saw him win at Brighton in a canter and with his return under his belt, he can get back to winning ways.
