Here’s my lazy man’s guide to making your car look £1,000s more expensive using scrunched up wads of scrap paper & cans

A MOTORHEAD has revealed how to make your car look more expensive by using scrunched up paper and old spray cans.

Posting on TikTok under the username Stubbaa, he showed viewers exactly how to spruce up your motor for little to no cost.

The content creator said that the hacks were “quick and easy” and would make “any car look ten times better”.

Stubba firstly showed how to turn your wheels from “old and raggedy” into “beast mode”.

He said: “Get two spray cans and grab yourself a rag to wipe all the dirt off.

“If you’re lazy like me just pull out the pressure washer.”

After cleaning the tyres, the TikToker then advised people to get some spare paper and scrunch it up for the next stage.

He then put the scrunched up paper between the gaps of the metal spokes to protect the wheel before spraying away.

Stubbaa then finished the job with some black tyre spray to make the wheels look fresh and slick.

As always, TikTokers were quick to take to the comments to weigh in with their opinions.

One said: “Tint your windows darker, restore headlights or euro headlights and tail lights and restore your paint.”

Another wrote: “Can confirm this makes your golden cruise look like a Ferrari.”

A third commented: “Get a old pack cards stick em in around the rim stop to help with getting paint everywhere.”

It comes as one motors buff transformed his car by copping three cheap mods after becoming “tired” of how it looked.

The TikToker showed the cheap makeover to his followers – with one saying that the whip now looks “fire”.

Posted on his social mediaTreyvon Murriel listed three things he bought from eBay, and some of them cost less than £80 ($100).

CAR MODS: Can they get you into trouble?

Car modifications can be tempting for petrolheads who want their car to stand out from the crowd, but according to a leading motor firm, some can end up costing hundreds of pounds in fines.

Recently, Peter Waddell, CEO of leading automotive company BigWantsYourCar.com, dished out the helpful tips to motorists.

He told drivers that while modifications look cool, some lesser-known changes could see your car insurance jump in cost.

He explained that no matter how minor the modifications are, it is essential that drivers inform their insurer if they don’t wish to invalidate their car insurance.

Peter says that even basic changes – like alloy wheels – could see your insurance premiums rise.

The motors expert says this can happen if the new wheels “significantly raise the vehicle’s value” or if there’s a “high theft rate” for such items in your area.

Peter also noted how exhaust modifications can lead to higher insurance costs and even legal issues.

He said: “Making your car’s exhaust louder can lead to higher insurance costs and legal issues with noise pollution.

“Many such modifications are illegal, especially if they involve removing silencers, which can lead to fines and make your vehicle non-compliant with road laws.”

Last year, a list from financebuzz.com highlighted a few simple hacks that can improve your driving experience and needlessly avoid chucking money away.

And, posting on TikTok, this car expert has revealed the three hacks that all drivers need to know to make their lives easier.

Finally, expert and CEO of BigWantsYourCar.com, Peter Waddell, shared their 30p hack that leaves your car feeling fresh every day and works in seconds.
