Leasing company Vanrama put together the list of tips and tricks to help make cleaning up easier than ever.

First of all, they revealed how to get rid of marks made by mucky hands.

Smudges from little fingers can be tough to shift, especially when they appear all over your windows.

A simple solution of lemon juice and water can really help move those stubborn stains.

Mix two parts of lemon juice to one part water, spray and wipe clean to leave a streak-free finish.

Given that lemons cost around 30p each, while a bottle of lemon juice is around 80p, it’s much more cost-effective than other household cleaners.

Another common issue, especially on long road trips, can be little ones leaving food odours from their snacks and, soon after, even being sick on the back seat.

While lemon juice may not be enough to sort that, white vinegar can have an even stronger effect – and it only costs £1.

Leave a bowl of it in your car and the acetic acid it contains will blitz bad smells.

Drink stains can be just as stubborn as food, especially if your child has a sweet tooth, but another household essential is there to save the day.

Mix a little baking soda, which is available for as little as 75p, with water and leave a small amount on the stain for 10-15 minutes.

Wipe or brush away and the stain should vanish.

Likewise, if your baby boy or girl gets a little too carried away with their colouring book, ordinary hairspray can bust pen stains.

Use the spray, which can be switched out for nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol, sparingly and don’t let it dry and the dirt will be gone.

This works particularly well for leather interiors, while white vinegar is best for upholstery or fabric.

Finally, as seen on TikTok, you could buy yourself some car putty, known as ‘car slime‘, or even make it at home to clean out crumbs and dust from hard-to-reach crevices.

Give the car a thorough hoover and then use the slime to mop up what is left, ideal for the air vents or glove box.
