He has been linked with an Old Trafford exit in recent days, with Tottenham reportedly keen to bring him to North London.

According to talkSPORT, Maguire is reluctant to leave United this summer – despite his lack of game time.

Erik ten Hag reportedly wants to cash in on the England man in order to help fund a move for Napoli star Kim Min-jae.

The South Korean ace possesses a £42million release clause in his contract, which will become active on July 1.

Man United will have to compete with Newcastle in order to land Kim’s signature.

SunSport understand that Kim’s representatives have already spoken to Newcastle chiefs.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly interested in making Maguire Ange Postecoglou’s first signing as boss.

Spurs’ defence was an issue throughout last season, with the North Londoners conceding 63 goals in the Prem – more than Everton, West Ham and Wolves.
