Actress Hannah Waddingham has been applauded by a slew of onlookers over her reaction to a reported request while stopping for photos.
The Ted Lasso actress, who hosted the Olivier Awards on Monday, was captured on camera by a fan outside London’s Royal Albert Hall posing for photos ahead of the ceremony.
In the video, which was shared to X (formerly Twitter), the alleged request is inaudible, but Waddingham’s response – “Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man, my friend” – is loud enough to hear.

“Don’t be a d–k, otherwise I’ll move off,” the 49-year-old actress can be heard saying in the footage.
“Don’t say, ‘Show me leg.’ No,” she continues, walking away and pointing, saying, “Have some manners”.
Fans can be heard cheering and applauding Waddingham in the footage as she makes her way off the stairs and out of sight of the camera.

The video was shared by a Waddingham fan account on social media, with the account’s owner having waited outside the Royal Albert Hall in the hopes to speak with the actress, who starred as Richmond FC owner Rebecca Welton in the beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, as she made her way inside.
When others online asked the account owner to clarify what had happened, @odeiotedlasso shared the footage of Waddingham’s response.
