One in ten admit to adopting a grazing lifestyle — with most too busy for a meal or trying to lose weight.

But 18 per cent believe snacking culture means they are eating less healthily, relying on processed and high-sugar and salt foods.

Two thousand Brits were surveyed by snack company graze.

It found that breakfast is the most ditched meal, skipped by 61 per cent of people.

And while 34 per cent do without lunch, just six per cent forgo an evening meal.

Nearly a quarter reckon three square meals a day is outdated, while one in ten feels sluggish if they eat three meals a day.

Crisps, biscuits, milk chocolate and fruit were the most picked snacks.

Nearly one in five said typically “healthy” snacks aren’t tasty so they shun them.

Eleanor McClelland, of graze, said: “More people are eating little and often, making us a nation of snackers.”
