GMAIL is down for hundreds of thousands of users across the world.
The Google email service crashed at roughly 2pm today, according to Down Detector.
Gmail has crashed
Users have taken to social media to voice their frustation at the inconvience.
One wrote: “Gmail is down, you’re not going mad.”
Another said: “Gmail is down. You can see your account but emails aren’t received.”
A third added: “Looks like Gmail is down worldwide. I’m not receiving any emails now either. Reading many reports on Twitter.”
It is unclear what led to the outage or when it will be fixed.
According to the Downdetector website, 77 per cent of users are experiencing issues with receiving mail.
How do I check if Gmail isn’t working?
There are websites that report when certain apps and websites are having issues.
Downdetector is one website that users can check to see if there are indeed outages for whatever issues they are experiencing.
Another way Gmail users can try to troubleshoot their account is to log out and attempt to log in once more.
Checking Google and Gmail’s Twitter accounts can be useful as well to see if they are reporting outages themselves.
