AEROPLANE seats are among the least comfortable places to sit, especially in cramped economy class cabins.
What doesn’t help is having to put tray tables down to rest drinks upon, taking up some of the already minimal legroom.

However, there’s a handy space saving device that several frequent flyers are describing as “genius” that ensures you can keep what legroom you have, without giving up your drinks.
The Bevledge airplane window organisation station clips perfectly onto the window of any plane, and allows users to store items that would normally require the use of the tray table.
It was included in Buzzfeed’s list of 35 must-have travel items for 2024, and received a glowing review.
They wrote: “This tray sits on the the window ledge and offers cup holders as well as slots for a phone, glasses, headphones, and more.
“It’s great! I love not having to have my entire tray table down just to hold a 3-inch cup.”
The only catch with the organisation station is that it obviously only works for passengers sitting in the window seat.
However, with its two cup holders, one could be useful for a pair flying together to make the most of.
It folds down flat when not in use, so can be stored easily in hand luggage, without adding any significant weight to a bag.
Bevledge claim that the organisation station is “the world’s first and only travel accessory designed to hold beverages, cell phones, writing utensils, eye wear and more”.
The Bevledge can be bought on Amazon for £31.75, where it has an overall score of 4.3/5 from hundreds of ratings.
Among those reviews are loads of people labelling it as “genius” having used it on their flights.
One wrote: “If you sit in a window seat, stop thinking and order it. It folds up flat so it takes up no space, yet allows you to have more space. Simple genius.”
Another said: “This is pure genius. Creating ample space, so that I don’t have to use the tray table, or when one is not available.
“I have loaded so much stuff onto it, including, placing items in between the window and the actual holder. I’m surprised as to how much weight he can actually withstand.”
A third added: “Both of our flight attendants noticed the Bev tray and were very impressed.”
Meanwhile, this is the item that travel experts always pack when going away to stop them getting ill and give them more space.
And this item “makes all the difference” when flying with children according to parents.
