Gemma Collins calls off wedding plans to fiance Rami and reveals sad reason why

GEMMA Collins has revealed she won’t be marrying Rami Hawash next year because of the cost of living crisis.

The millionaire reality star admitted she didn’t think it would feel right spending lots of money on huge nuptials – and hinted she might just elope.

Asked if she was planning her big day, Gemma told the Mirror: “Nah, not at all.

“Because I just think it ain’t the time to be spending like millions on a wedding you know?”

She continued: “It’s not the time, it will happen, to be honest my life is always like I’m on the stage anyway.

“So when I get married I’ll probably just do it in peace and quiet.”

Gemma got engaged to her beau Rami, 48, earlier this year – years after the pair first met back in 2011.

The couple first dated in 2013, and Rami made several appearances on The Only Way Is Essex before they announced their first engagement in the same year.

It was sadly broken off several weeks later – only for Rami to propose again last December with a huge diamond ring.

Gemma did previously say she planned to get married aboard.

“I’ve finally found the venue. It’s going to be in Mykonos,” she told Judi Love on The Big Breakfast today.

“It will be the big event everyone is going to expect.”

She compared them to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who tied the knot nearly two decades after they originally dated.

About the big day itself, Gemma said: “Darling it aint gona be low key.

“Every time I see Jen and Ben that is me and Rami all over.

“So I’m going to ring JLO and see if she’ll lend me one of her outfits for the evening, so JLO I’m putting the call in baby.”

The self-confessed Diva also said she wanted a bespoke dress with lace produced in Mykonos.

“I’ve got everyone around the world gonna be working on this dress,” she laughed.

“It is going to be out of this world, it is gonna be something that nobody’s going to expect.”
