Gareth Bale’s outfit during Wales speech raises eyebrows with fans convinced it’s hint at move into golf

GARETH BALE’S outfit during his Wales speech raised several eyebrows.

And fans were left convinced it hinted at a permanent move into golf.

Fans are convinced Gareth Bale’s outfit at Wales vs Latvia means he will take up golf full-timeRex

Bale, 33, retired from the beautiful game in January after leading his country to the Qatar World Cup.

The legendary forward was in attendance for Wales’ 1-0 win over Latvia last night.

And Bale bid an emotional farewell to fans on the field before making a passionate speech.

But the Tottenham icon’s outfit set some tongues wagging on social media.

Wales boss Rob Page has already offered Bale a role in the national team set-up.

But the ex-Real Madrid star’s decision to wear a green jacket ahead of the Masters convinced some fans he’s instead destined for a life on the golf course.

Bale has made no secret of his preference for a putting green over the pitch.

He even made his PGA Tour debut in February just days after quitting football.

Another declared: “Blimey, his golf really has got better hasn’t it?”

Another added: “Am I too hopeful thinking Bale rips that shirt and jacket off to show a red Wales shirt No11?”
