DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON was involved in an X-rated confrontation with a fan ahead of WrestleMania 40.

The shock incident occurred at WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony last night – just 24 hours before his in-ring return.

The 51-year-old Hollywood megastar recently returned to the wrestling giants as a member of TKO’s board of directors.

Now the icon will compete in his first match for years at WrestleMania 40 this weekend.

Rock is linking up with Bloodline Tribal Chief and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The four will lock horns tonight in the first of the two-night extravaganza at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in a high-stakes Tag Team Match.

If Rock and Reigns suffer defeat then the latter will defend his title against Rhodes tomorrow in a one-on-one match that will bar outside interference from his Bloodline team-mates.

However, should Rock and Reigns win then the title bout will take place under Bloodline Rules, which means the champion will be calling the shots.

The build-up to the bout has sent fans into meltdown, especially with Rock breaking WWE protocol by swearing live on air and dishing out brutal beatdowns.

Tensions were ramped up further last night when Rock inducted his grandma Ofelia “Lia” Maivia into the Hall of Fame.

Discussing talents that had worked for her in the past, he mentioned the late Dusty Rhodes – father of rival Cody.

Rock told him that he had respect for his family, but that the beating he received this weekend would be “personal”.

The Great One then plugged WrestleMania one final time before ending the show and making his way out of the ring – but the drama was not finished there in Philadelphia.

The Rock spun round to face a fan who appeared to taunt him on the aisle and asked him to repeat what he had just said.

The conversation wasn’t completely clear, but it appeared that the incident may not have been fully character or storyline related.

Meanwhile, Rhodes this week discussed Rock’s return and how fan power led to the main event of the icon vs Reigns changing – and he even compared his rival to Hulk Hogan’s heel run as Hollywood Hogan.

He told ESPN: “The Rock is a Mount Rushmore pro wrestler, sports entertainer.

“I feel like if you ask anybody who’s your Mount Rushmore, The Rock is on it.

WRESTLEMANIA 40

WWE’s annual spectacular, WrestleMania, is finally here.

Live from Philadelphia, the Showcase of The Immortals is taking place over two action-packed nights this weekend.

The Rock will headline Night 1 of the extravaganza in a tag team match alongside his cousin, the WWE Undisputed Champion, Roman Reigns.

In the other corner is Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

And the match has major implications at stake for the second night of WrestleMania 40 when Reigns defends against Rhodes.

“However, he came back, thinking I’ll just step into the main event with Roman Reigns, me and my cousin and do this family thing, and I was so blessed that the fans did not want that.

“They wanted me to finish the story WrestleMania 40 kicking back from Wrestlemania 39. Because of that, the byproduct is the Final Boss Rock.

“And the Final Boss, the only comparison I can make in terms of just watching him from the outside looking in feels very Hollywood Hulk Hogan. It’s a whole other layer.

“I don’t want to say all kinds of positive things about The Rock, but I can tell you that’s the staying power.

“Like you turn this and made this into something incredibly different and unique and very special.”
