Asda has confirmed to The Sun it has stopped selling Elf Bars, following Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.
The ban is prompted by a Daily Mail report which discovered between 3ml and 3.2ml of nicotine e-liquid in the vapes.
The legal limit is currently at 2ml, which is the maximum 2% nicotine strength.
An Elf Bar spokesperson told the Daily Mail that some batches have been “inadvertently” overfilled in the UK and apologised for the inconvenience.
Sainsbury’s told The Sun it has removed all Elf Bar products from stores “whilst our suppliers investigate this matter further”.
Morrisons said it is investigation the issue and has removed all flavours of the e-cig.
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “As part of our ongoing investigation into the legal compliance of Elf Bar 600 disposable electronic cigarettes with Trading Standards, we have made the decision to remove all flavoured variants from sale.
Tesco has also banned the sale of the vapes in its stores. The Sun has asked the supermarket for comment.
Normally, single vapes from the 600 series cost £3.80 from Tesco, £5.99 from both Morrisons and Asda and £6 from Sainsbury’s.
Waitrose no longer sells single-use vaping products. Neither Aldi nor Lidl sell single-use vapes.
We have asked Co op and Ocado if they stock Elf Bar 600s and have stopped selling them, and will update when we hear back.
We’ve asked all supermarkets if they will offer refunds to anyone who has bought the product and will update when we hear back.

E-cig regulation falls between the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulation agency (MHRA) and Trading Standards.
Both have been contacted for comment. The Sun has also approached Elf Bar for comment.
