PAPERCHASE collapsed into administration today leaving stores and workers at risk.

Tesco has since bought the brand, but Paperchase’s 106 UK shops aren’t included in the deal.

It means the stores could close and 820 jobs are still at risk.

All stores are currently open as normal in the meantime.

But any shoppers with gift cards are being urged to redeem them as soon as possible as they won’t be accepted after two weeks.

Until more is confirmed, here’s the list of locations that could shut down:

This isn’t the first time Paperchase has rushed to find a buyer.

It previously fell into administration two years ago, with the closure of 37 stores.

At the time, the chain had 1,500 employees.

And other brands were forced to shut shop last year as a result of the covid pandemic.

In December, fashion company M&Co announced it would be plunging into administration for the second time.

The first was in 2020, when it closed 47 stores.

Joules, which makes fancy wellies, also collapsed before being bought by Next.

Next paid £34million to buy the company plus £7million for its Market Harborough headquarters.

And Made.com was another company which sold its brand, website and intellectual property to Next in November.

The furniture retailer had already put itself up for sale earlier in 2022.

This year, Byron burger said it would be closing nine restaurants and cutting 218 jobs.

But it was announced just before new company Tristar Foods Limited bought it.
