Free Netflix rival filled with Christmas movies launches on millions of TVs across the UK in latest big upgrade

THE countdown to Christmas is on and a popular network has launched its very own streaming service filled with festive movies for free.

Freeview Play and Youview box owners will finally be able to access the service at no cost.

Service has more than just Christmas movies too

It first launched in May via red button but now the full player is available.

So you’ll find the app alongside other big name streaming services on your box.

The GREAT! network of channels includes GREAT! Movies, GREAT! Action, GREAT! Romance and GREAT! TV as well as the most recent popup channel GREAT! Christmas.

Channel owners Narrative Entertainment promise “an array of star-studded Hollywood movies, fast-paced action films, love stories and nostalgic series”.

Aside from Christmas cheer there are a load of well-known TV series available to catch on the platform too.

These include Murder, She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder and M*A*S*H.

The have well-known movie titles such as Bewitched starring Nicole Kidman, and The Expendables with Sylvester Stallone.

If you’re looking for more Christmas on your TV, there have been some other recent launches to check out.

Samsung TV owners will find some extra festive channels available for free via streaming.

And this week, the NOW Xmas music channel launched on Sky Q number 361.

Freeview viewers can access it via the Channelbox portal on channel 271.

The channel temporarily replaces the Now 70s channel.
