The Aston Martin DB5 found worldwide fame when it was used by Sean Connery in 1964’s Goldfinger.

It made further appearances in some of the franchise’s most popular films, including Thunderball, Casino Royale and Skyfall.

The DB5 is one of the world’s rarest cars, with only 1,059 ever made in a production run that lasted just two years from 1963 to 1965.

It’s even featured on a limited edition stamp issued by Royal Mail in 2013.

Customers will have to apply to find out the exact pricing information but similar motors have recently sold for easily more than £1 million and even up to £4.7 million.

This particular sale is understood to be a world first, as this many DB5s have never before gone under the hammer together.

Three of the collection are in pristine condition and ready to use should any prospective buyer wish to risk putting one on the road.

Colour options include a deep black and sage green, as well as the painstakingly restored Silver Birch shade that matches the one seen in the films.

The latter was originally owned by comedy legend and actor Dick Emery in 1965

However, the fourth will need quite a bit of work to get it back up and running.

At the moment, it’s little more than a shell set to be restored by specialist firm Hilton & Moss.

The buyer will have to finance the restoration process but has the unique opportunity to custom-build their own DB5 from scratch.

William Garrett, general manager at Hilton & Moss, said; “We’re privileged to be offering this truly landmark selection of four Aston Martin DB5s for sale at once, something that no dealer has ever done before.

“With this sale, Hilton and Moss is offering customers something rarely afforded in the rarefied world of Aston Martin DB5s: the luxury of choice.

“As a world-leader in the sale and preparation of exceptional motor cars, we’re known for offering remarkable automotive opportunities, but even for us, this is something quite special.

“Seeing the four examples of the DB5 – an icon that’s loved and coveted in equal measure – lined up together, really is a sight to behold.”
