LINCOLN’S manager has quit the club with three years left on his contract.
Mark Kennedy has left his role following the Imps’ 1-0 loss to Burton on Saturday.

The former Manchester City defender had been in charge at Sincil Bank since May 2022.
During that time he won 28 of his 78 matches and guided Lincoln to an 11th place finish in League One last season.
However, he has now departed with the club 16th in the table after 11 matches, leaving them seven points above the relegation zone.
Along with Kennedy, who had been contracted until the summer of 2026, assistant manager Danny Butterfield has also left Lincoln.
First-team coach Tom Shaw has taken over on an interim basis ahead of this weekend’s trip to Fleetwood.
In a statement, chief executive Liam Scully told the club website: “Everyone at the club thanks Mark and Danny for their contribution to the Imps over their time with us, and we wish them well in their future coaching careers. They leave with our thanks and best wishes.”
Prior to his role with Lincoln, Kennedy had briefly been manager of Macclesfield in 2020.
He has also held coaching jobs with Ipswich, Man City, Wolves and Birmingham.

Kennedy also enjoyed a 19-year playing career before retiring in 2012 aged 36.
During that time, he made 93 Premier League appearances for Wolves, Man City, Wimbledon and Liverpool.
