MARCOS ALONSO has reportedly been offered a route back to the Premier League.
The former Chelsea star is still yet to be registered by Barcelona for the LaLiga season due to the club’s financial issues.

Alonso, 32, is one of three players that have not been registered alongside Inigo Martinez and Inaki Pena.
The full back has missed Barcelona’s first two games of the season because of the financial fair play rules in Spain stopping the club from registering him.
It is thought that Alonso is keen to stay at Barcelona and that the club wants to keep hold of him.
However, due to the issues around his registration, he could end up leaving the club.
According to Spanish reporter Gerard Romero, an unnamed Premier League side has made a move for the defender.
He claims that Alonso is “evaluating” a “proposal” from the English top flight.
Alonso would bring plenty of experience to his potential new team having starred for Chelsea, Bolton and Sunderland in the Prem.
His six years at Stamford Bridge came to an end last summer transfer window when he left the Blues to return to LaLiga with Barcelona.

After being heavily linked with the Catalan side throughout the transfer window, Alonso moved to Barcelona after having his Chelsea contract ended by mutual consent.
He enjoyed a successful spell in London as he won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Since joining Barcelona, Alonso has won the LaLiga title and the Supercopa de Espana.
