BRIAN HORTON has revealed he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The former Brighton and Manchester City manager had a check-up back in April.

He has now revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer a month later.
“They found that I had it,” he told the BBC. “And it was very small.”
The 74-year-old got tested due to his age and is now urging other men to do the same.
Horton added: “Two of my best mates, when I told them, said ‘We’re going to have the test now’.
“Go and get tested, even if you feel OK, like I did. I feel as good as I’ve ever felt, and I don’t feel like I’ve got anything.”
The former manager is now undergoing radiotherapy to treat the cancer rather than having an operation.
“I got in touch with Prostate Cancer UK who have been great,” he continued. “And they talked me through the process.”
Horton spent five years with Brighton as a player before later returning as manager in 1998.

He had previously spent two years in charge at Man City between 1993 and 1995.
His managerial career also included spells with Oxford, Huddersfield, Port Vale and Huddersfield.
Horton has been out of coaching since working as Phil Brown’s assistant at Swindon in 2018.
