Borthwick-Jackson, 26, came through the Red Devils’ academy and broke into the first team under Louis van Gaal.

He made 14 appearances during the 2015/16 campaign – including 10 in the Premier League

The defender failed to make the grade at Old Trafford despite high hopes and has gone on a journeyman career.

He had loan spells at the likes of Wolves, Leeds, Scunthorpe, Tranmere and Oldham.

Borthwick-Jackson did enough at Oldham to earn a permanent move to the club in 2020.

However, he left the club for Burton Albion in 2021 and registered two goals and four assists in 72 games for the Staffordshire club.

But was sent out on loan to Polish outfit Śląsk Wrocław last year.

The left-back was released by Burton last summer and rejoined Śląsk Wrocław but only featured for the second team.
