FORGOTTEN Manchester United man Donny van de Beek is reportedly close to leaving Old Trafford.
Van de Beek has failed to find a place at Man United since arriving from Ajax back in 2020.
Donny van de Beek is close to agreeing a loan switch to LorientRex
And according to Santi Aouna, the 26-year-old could be heading out on loan for the season.
French outfit Lorient are said to have had a loan bid accepted by Man United for the services of the Dutchman.
Van de Beek will be hoping he will be able to get more play-time with the Ligue 1 side after featuring just seven times in the Premier League last season.
A move to join Lorient could see the midfielder link up with former Manchester City title winner Benjamin Mendy.
The Frenchman recently signed for Lorient as the club looks to build on their 10th place finish last season.
Mendy has been cleared of eight counts of rape, one of attempted rape and another of sexual assault against seven women.

An exit from Old Trafford for Van de Beek could mean that Erik ten Hag is forced into bringing in midfield reinforcements before Friday’s deadline.
The Red Devils have already seen Mason Mount come though the doors but ten Hag is said to want more depth in the middle of the park.

The Manchester giants have been linked with a move for Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat, but are yet to make an official bid.
There could also be arrivals at the back in the final days of the window with United in talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Marc Cucurella.
Ten Hag is hoping to bring in a replacement for Luke Shaw who is likely to miss a good chunk of the season after picking up a muscular injury.
