Football fans left sickened by ‘disgraceful’ 85p footy scran that ‘should be cordoned off by blue and white police tape’

FOOTBALL fans are disgusted by an item of food sold by Hungarian outfit Ferencvarosi TC.

Popular Twitter account Footy Scran shared a photo of a serving of Zsíros Kenyér sold for just 85p.

Zsíros Kenyér translates to ‘Fatty Bread’ and is a popular bar snack in Hungary.

It consists of buttered bread topped with red onion – but Ferencvarosi’s version turned fans’ stomachs.

They topped some rather sad-looking white bread with raw red onions, and even for 85p some said they would not go near the snack.

One reacted saying: “That’s disgraceful.”

Another added: “It’s bin scrapings for paupers. Sooner starve than eat this garbage. 1/10.”

A third wrote: “That should be cordoned off by blue and white police tape.”

And another commented: “That looks awful.”

In a poll asking whether the item was scran or no scran, 78 per cent of respondents answered saying ‘no’.

Earlier this year fans slammed a burger sold by Dundee United.

It was likened to a digestive biscuit, called out for not being cooked, and even branded so bad it’s akin to a war crime.

Scotland appears to have a knack for horror scran with a burger sold by Aberdeen ranking as the highest ‘no scran’ vote ever.

However there are some clubs which excel when it comes to their food offerings, such as sixth-tier St Albans City.

Fans salivated over their £8 chicken burger with one labelling it a “thing of beauty”.
