Uploading to her TikTok account, she claims that the “disgusting coffee machines” in hotel rooms are the reason she brings the unusual item.

Due to the cold weather, Sam is more inclined to make herself a hot drink but using the hotel kettle prevents her from doing so.

As a result, she has been forced into bringing her own.

However, her kettle it is a special portable travel one and is a different shape and size to your standard kitchen accessory.

Nonetheless, Sam ensures that she can still make a cup of tea or coffee without worrying about the condition of on-site machines.

She describes it as a hotel “hack” that flight attendants use.

While Sam admits that it does “take up space” in her luggage, the kettle does allow her to adjust the temperature of the water.

And once boiled, she can very easily make her hot drink.

Speaking in the 93 second clip (@sincerelysammy), she said: “I never use the coffee machines in hotel rooms cause they are absolutely disgusting.

“They don’t even clean those.”

Sam says her kettle means she can make lemon tea “on the go” and makes her feel more at “home” when she’s away for a long period of time.

“I just feel much more cleaner,” she added about using her own kettle.
