Spurs had a man advantage following Abdoulaye Doucoure’s red card earlier in the second half.

But the Brazilian forward succeeded in levelling things up when he was dismissed for a horror tackle.

And Keane then added insult to injury by blasting a 90th minute equaliser beyond Hugo Lloris.

The former Burnley centre-back let fly from outside the area and found the top corner with a remarkable strike.

And Lucas‘ brief cameo appearance was mocked by football fans on social media as Spurs relinquished their advantage late on.

One said: “Superb cameo from Lucas Moura.”

Another added: “Lucas Moura why’d you even come on .”

And third replied: “Well that’s why Conte didn’t play Lucas Moura .”

But a Spurs supporter did not see the funny side of the decision to bring Lucas on in the first place.

They said: “LUCAS MOURA???? ARE YOU F******* SERIOUS? WE HAVE DANJUMA ON THE BENCH RIGHT THERE, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM.”

And Gary Neville called the challenge a “leg breaker” on Sky Sports.

The Manchester United legend said: They can break legs.

“Every professional who is watching that challenge, will not like that.”

The result still sees Tottenham move above Manchester United into fourth place on goal difference.

They are now level on points with both Newcastle in third and Man Utd in fifth, but have played two games more.

Meanwhile, Everton move out of the relegation zone and up to 15th place.
