Fans in stitches as Sky Sports make awkward Leeds vs Man Utd team graphic gaffe as Luke Ayling turned into ‘Dr Octopus’

FANS were left in stitches as Sky Sports messed up their pre-match Leeds line-up graphic.

Just moments before kick-off against Manchester United, Sky showed viewers how the home side would be lining up at Elland Road.

They botched Luke Ayling’s appearance in their graphic, however, with the defender’s picture seemingly cut onto those of a number of other players.

This gave the effect of Ayling looking like he has multiple limbs – much to the amusement of fans watching at home.

One wrote: “Luke Ayling appears to have turned into Doctor Octopus according to Sky’s matchday graphics.”

A second tweeted: “@SkySports what is up with Luke Ayling!?”

While another added: “Luke Ayling should be in goal with all those arms.”

As it was, Ayling lined up in his usual right-back position for caretaker boss Michael Skubala.

He played the full 90 minutes in mid-week as Leeds drew 2-2 with United at Old Trafford.

The result saw Jadon Sancho return to the limelight, the England international scoring a crucial equaliser in just his second sub appearance since a lengthy absence.

Sancho was restored to Erik ten Hag’s starting XI for the trip to Elland Road, being fielded on the right flank – with Marcus Rashford up against Ayling on the left.

Sancho’s inclusion wasn’t Ten Hag’s only change.

The Dutchman also opted to bring Harry Maguire back into his starting XI, fielding the Three Lions defender alongside Luke Shaw at centre-back.
